Hello, I'm just wondering when the proposed release date for the newest version is? I'm planning on handing out copies of the the OpenDisc at the room party me and my friends are having at Penguicon in a few weeks.

Thanks to Peter Kemp and others we've pretty much got Kiwix to the stage where we can release a new version, so all things going well there should be a new version by that deadline.

Sorry for asking this, but is there any news about the final release of the OpenDisc 08.xx ?
Programs on the old 07.10 are becoming extremely old and users need updated versions of these...
Is there anything I can do to help ?

As of now it's been hard for people to help directly with development (aside from translation) but again thanks to Peter Kemp it should be a lot easier shortly, because he's managed to set a svn repository for the project.
We'll post more about it once we've got the new version out - we're reverting back to the old backend because of a few key problems that we've yet to work out with Kiwix - hopefully the community can give us a hand with them.
