SuperTux & Tux Racer are definately good for promoting Linux, and can be a lot of fun!

How about Tremulous ?

SuperTux is great, it's better than SuperMario, that graphics are fantastic, and the level editor is awesome. :)
I also like TuxRacer, but not as much as SuperTux, but it's a fairly good program.
I also think these would be good in promoting Linux.

Wormux is a great game, too. If anyone has played any of the Worms series (before they went 3D), you would feel right at home in Wormux. http://www.wormux.org/
"Have the mascots of your favorite free softwares battle in the Wormux arena. Using dynamite, grenades, baseball bat and others bazookas,... exterminate your opponent in a 2D toon style scenery and a funny environment."

How about FreeCiv.

Wormux is great too. It's still slightly buggy in release right now, or last I checked. FreeCiv is also a good pick.

Since FreeCiv was mentioned, how about FreeCol? It's a Java based, open source version of the classic strategy game Colonization.

I'm hoping to fit it into the OpenEducationDisc. Keep your eyes peeled!

What about mention any RPG games like Final Fantasy or RTS games like Command & Conquer? If there is any Open Source games like'em? =P
On are you looking for games that is both fun and educational? =P
Sorry for the questions.Posted 3 months ago # -
There is a Fantasy RTS called Glest with excellent 3D graphics.
http://www.glest.orgThere is a 2D MMORPG called The Mana World that contains Final Fantasy style graphics.
http://www.themanaworld.orgAnother 2D MMORPG that I've seen Stendhal, which uses the Arianne engine. I believe it is Java based.
http://arianne.sourceforge.net/?arianne_url=games/game_stendhalA good place to look for Open Source Games is The Linux Game Tome. Many of these games have Windows ports for them and may be good candidates for the OpenDisc Game Section.
