Possible, that it was already mentioned here. But also possible, that it was not.

    At

there is something similar like OpenDisc created by a german computer magazine. The side is also in german - sorry.

But it could be possible, that one or an other of the programs which are mentioned there are also interesting for OpenDisc, because both projects have as goal to publish a CD/DVD with OpenSource Windows programs.

I also love this open source collection CD
From Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society.

They update the disc version regularly :)

  4. The best including us? ;) There's a plethora of different discs available, and another popular one is Software for Starving Students. They package non-OSS as well, so it's not strictly an "open" disc.

  5. Checked in. WinLibre's more simple and nice, but the software choice is a little odd is some areas. WinOSSCDRom is nice too, but OpenDisc still tops them all for sure.

I found OpenDisc after I'd already chosen my open-source applications of choice. The program list immediately told me this is a high quality distribution. I update all my apps from their sources, but I intend to use this CD and site as my means of introducing my family, friends, and co-workers to OSS. As well as continuing to try applications not included here... We're here to provide OpenDisc with ideas and apps we like and why...
