How about OxygenOffice Professional 2.3? It is OpenOffice but better - with clipart, templates etc.

  2. I'd never actually heard of that fork. Personally, I think it's best we stick with the main program, although the releases from OxygenOffice Professional seem to be pretty constant with OOo, we're almost positive we'll have constant updates and bug-fixes from a popular vendor like Sun. Also, I haven't looked into it, but with the added features, it sounds like it would be larger than OOo itself, which is large enough for the disc already.

    That's just my personal opinion.

  3. It clocks in at 220MB, which is more than double the current size. At the moment that's just too much for one program on the disc.

Not to say that ooop isn't more useful that the regular suite, it's just that the size coupled with the features of all the other variants available make it a hard sell.

I do notice that they package them seperately as well, so I'll have a look at those.

Maybe include openclipart.org packages. I think the latest is the 123 MB package. But these are due to be re-organised into release 0.19 some day (or year?). So maybe too much effort to sort out at present?

  5. I always liked openclipart, and wanted to include them back with TheOpenCD.

Exactly as you say, it's a case of waiting for them to migrate to their new system and sort everything out first.
